Trump Administration Terminates TPS for Honduras and Nicaragua

DHS has announced the termination of the TPS designations for Honduras and Nicaragua, which were set to expire on July 5th. The Honduras notification and the Nicaragua notification will be formally published in the Federal Register on July 8th, and in both cases the notice states that the termination will be effective 60 days following that publication date.

  • Urge Congress to Oppose Budget Reconciliation Bill

    The Senate has passed a budget bill that would cut at least $800 billion in federal funding from the Medicaid program (the largest cut in American history). The bill would deeply harm older adults and the mission-driven, nonprofit providers who serve them, particularly in NY.   • Urge Congress to Protect Medicaid in 2025!

    Congress is moving through the budget reconciliation process, which aims to reduce federal spending by approximately $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years. Given the significant amount of savings being sought, Medicaid is a highly likely source of cuts (potentially up to $880 billion). Write to your members of Congress today to urge them not to include Medicaid cuts or harmful changes as part of budget reconciliation bills or other legislation.
