With COVID-19 cases ebbing and flowing in health care settings, long-term care providers may be unsure of the current COVID-19 guidance and where to find it. LeadingAge NY provides a compilation of key guidance documents.

Comments on the CMS proposed regulation to make NHSN reporting permanent and expand the scope of data collection are due by Aug. 26, 2024.

The CDC recommends that everyone ages 6 months and older receive an updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine and an updated 2024-2025 flu vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 and flu this fall and winter.

In a letter to CMS Administrator Brooks-LaSure, the association requested the reduction of COVID-related reporting requirements, aligning with the CDC's standard approach to COVID as a respiratory virus and its termination of hospital COVID reporting requirements.
