LeadingAge NY has urged the Governor and Commissioner of Health to modify the State's non-shortage determination used in assessing staffing penalties. LeadingAge National and AHCA have prevailed in a lawsuit challenging federal staffing mandates.

The deadline for passage of the State budget has passed, and negotiations are currently ongoing. It is critical that we keep the funding needs of long-term care and aging services providers top of mind. Members are encouraged to amplify LeadingAge NY social media tools and digital advocacy resources as much as possible!

The deadline for submission of the new Form 855A is May 1^st. The form requires disclosure of extensive information.

Rule proposes payment updates as well as minor policy changes to SNF VBP and QRP programs.

Facility responses are due within 10 business days, although the process is complicated by recent State determinations regarding acute labor shortages.

SNFs are reminded that reporting is due May 15^th.
