State issues communication urging providers to assist with Health-Related Social Needs assessments.

Providers should review the guidance, their own emergency policies and procedures, and conduct routine maintenance on HVAC and backup power systems immediately to ensure safe and continued operation during the season and maximize patient and resident safety.

CMS issued updated guidance on Medicare telehealth coverage days before a federal budget deal was announced that would extend telehealth flexibilities through Jan. 31, 2026.

Federal share of additional funding included in the 2024-25 State Budget will be in Medicaid cycle 2517.

CMS is expected to announce state awards by the end of the calendar year.
