Office Hours for Medicaid Revalidation Yields Details

New Enrollments – The deadline is 45 days

Revalidations – The deadline is 123 calendar days.

For entities / larger organizations with credentialers on staff – that person can obtain a NY.GOV business account and set up provider and practitioner revalidations. But for submission, the actual owner, managing employee, practitioner, must eventually set up a NY.GOV business account and sign the document.

The effective date of the 6 month moratorium is July 27th.

Relocations of providers under moratorium that are due to flooding, natural disaster, possibly other similar reasons, may relocate.

Moratorium does not apply to provider closures – those can happen.

DOH provides vouchers for fingerprinting required for moderate and high risk providers.

NY.Gov personal accounts do not work – must be a business account.

DOH is establishing a way to access the Provider Services Portal (PSP) in the Health Commerce System in late September. Access through eMedNYwill continue as well.

Providers and others revalidating are having trouble with PIN numbers provided in the notification letters. Sometimes it’s not provided in the letter or doesn’t work. There are now prompts for reestablishing or requesting a PIN to get into the PSP. Quick turnaround is provided.
