Paid COVID-19 Leave for Vaccinations Expired on Dec. 31, 2023

LeadingAge NY reminds members that paid leave for COVID-19 vaccinations expired on Dec. 31, 2023 based on a state law enacted in 2022.

Members should note that Supplemental Paid Leave and COVID-19 Paid Family Leave provisions are permanent in statute and are based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) isolation and quarantine guidelines. Under current clinical recommendations, this leave applies only when an employee is diagnosed with a SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Note that isolation and quarantine guidelines can and will vary based on public health conditions, so it is advised that members consult CDC resources for further information.
