Unique Training Opportunity Available

On June 26th and 27th, at the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, LeadingAge NY ProCare will offer a Train-the-Trainer program for teaching adult learners. The program is the foundation for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) instructors in nursing homes.

While the New York State Department of Health (DOH)-approved training program has been developed with nursing home CNA instructors in mind, it will be helpful to any staff member who provides education. This program satisfies the requirement of regulation 10 NYCRR Section 415.26, Organization and Administration for a CNA instructor to have successfully completed a "professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners."

Unlike other programs, this training is specific to nursing homes and will provide you with best practices, ideas for developing curriculum, lesson plans, and more.
