Unique Opportunity Open to Nursing Homes

The IPRO Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) is a newly formed collaboration of three organizations with decades of experience serving as Medicare QIOs. The collaboration is led by IPRO and joined by two other established and respected Medicare QIOs: Healthcentric Advisors and Qlarant.

The Medicare QIO program is a national health care quality improvement program led by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and implemented across the United States and its territories. The program is the engine driving innovative collaborations that result in high-quality, affordable, and person-centered care for America's Medicare beneficiaries.

CMS has awarded the IPRO QIN-QIO a five-year contract to serve as the Medicare QIN-QIO in 11 states and the District of Columbia. While IPRO, Healthcentric Advisors, and Qlarant will work together under the IPRO QIN-QIO umbrella, each will work directly with providers, patients, and key stakeholders in specific states.

The QIN-QIO is seeking participation from nursing homes in New York State. The letter from the QIN-QIO outlines some of the areas of focus over the next several years and the benefits of participation, as well as contact information. Additional information on the QIO and its work, along with frequently asked questions (FAQs), can be accessed here.
