SNF Quality Reporting Program Webinar Scheduled for Dec. 6th

Staff from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will hold a webinar on Wed., Dec. 6th from 2 to 3 pm to present information on Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Quality Reporting Program (QRP) feedback reports that will be available to nursing homes in late November. These reports provide insight on how a home is faring when it comes to meeting the threshold for SNF QRP data reporting on the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments. CMS reviewed the feedback report for claims-based SNF QRP measures during a Sept. 28th call; this webinar will focus on the feedback report for assessment-based measures.

SNF QRP was created by the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation (IMPACT) Act and is aimed at ensuring that key post-acute provider quality measures are reported in a standardized way across settings. Homes that fail to meet reporting thresholds face a 2 percent reduction of their Medicare Part A rates.
