SNF QRP Preview Reports Available
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has made available the quarterly Provider Preview Report that allows nursing home providers to see the data that will be publicly reported on the Care Compare website in April. Providers have until Feb. 14th to request that CMS examine the data contained on their Provider Preview Report.
Please note that this review does not offer the provider the opportunity to correct any data submitted, but rather allows them to identify any error they believe makes the quality measure results inaccurate (i.e., numerator, denominator, or quality metric). Reports can be accessed via the CMS-designated data submission system, Certification and Survey Provider Enhanced Reports (CASPER) application, which is accessible from a skilled nursing facility's (SNF) “Welcome to the CMS QIES Systems for Providers” page.
The data contained on the Preview Reports are based on quality assessment data submitted from Quarter 3, 2020 through Quarter 2, 2021 (four quarters). The data for the claims-based measures will continue to display Quarter 4, 2017 through Quarter 3, 2019 data for this refresh while CMS performs additional measure analyses.
