SNF Provider Preview Reports Are Now Available

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Provider Preview Reports have been updated and are now available in the Certification and Survey Provider Enhanced Reporting (CASPER) application. The data collection period for assessment-based measures is calendar year 2018. The data collection period for claims-based measures is October 2016 through September 2018. The deadline for facilities requesting a review of their quality measure scores is Sept. 16, 2019. The next refresh on Nursing Home Compare (NHC) will take place in October 2019.

The SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP) Potentially Preventable Readmission (PPR) measure scores will be posted for the first time in the October refresh. In addition, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has updated the methodology for assigning performance categories for the SNF QRP Discharge to Community (DTC) measure.
