Managing Trauma, Grief, and Loss During the Pandemic

Staff caring for others during the COVID-19 pandemic frequently experience a range of emotions, including stress, anxiety, and fear. How one handles these emotions affects one's well-being, the care provided to others, and one's personal relationships and interactions both at work and outside of work.

On Thurs., Aug. 13, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m., LeadingAge NY will offer a webinar entitled "It's Not Just the Virus: Managing the Pandemic of Trauma, Grief and Loss." The webinar, sponsored by the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, is free and offers both National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and Social Work (SW) credit. Jeanne Devine, Ph.D, chief clinical officer, PsychAssociates Group, will be the featured presenter. Dr. Devine is a gifted presenter with extensive experience dealing with residents, families, and staff in long term care settings. The session will focus on issues such as grief and bereavement, coping skills and peer support, as well as team and communication strategies.
