LeadingAge NY Submits Regulatory Reform Recommendations to DOH

Last week, LeadingAge NY submitted a letter to the Department of Health (DOH) describing proposed regulatory reforms. The letter was sent in response to a request by the Department for proposals to improve the State's regulatory framework for long-term/post-acute care, in order to support the efficient delivery of high quality care and new value-based payment arrangements. The LeadingAge NY letter included proposals to reform State regulations and policies governing nursing homes, assisted living, adult day health care, home and community-based services, and managed long-term care. Members are encouraged to submit additional proposals for State-level reforms to Karen Lipson. They will be compiled and submitted in a follow-up letter to the Department.

The letter is available here.
