Is Your Facility Over the Threshold?

The Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Provider Threshold Report (PTR) is now available. This is a new, must-have tool to facilitate financial well-being.

The PTR is a data completeness report. This on-demand document enables users to verify their compliance with the SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP) threshold requirement.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires facilities to submit 80 percent of their Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments used for QRP at 100 percent completion. Failure to meet this threshold results in a 2 percent reduction in a facility’s Annual Payment Update (APU), a costly threshold not to manage.

PTRs for fiscal years 2020 and 2021 are available and review MDSs submitted in calendar years 2018 and 2019.

The PTR is accessible through the CASPER Reporting application via the "SNF Quality Reporting Program" category. Please see the CASPER Reporting User’s Guide Section 13, SNF Quality Reporting Program for instructions on how to request this report. Click here to download the guide.
