CMS Releases SNF QRP Claims-Based Measures Manual and Accompanying Files

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has made available the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Quality Reporting Program (QRP) and Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Program Claims-Based Quality Measures User’s Manual along with accompanying documents in the Downloads section of the SNF QRP Measures and Technical Information webpage. The manual includes the technical specifications of the following measures: SNF Discharge to Community (DTC), SNF Potentially Preventable 30-Day Post-Discharge Readmission (PPR-PD), SNF Potentially Preventable Within-Stay Hospital Readmission (PPR-WS), SNF Healthcare-Associated Infections Requiring Hospitalization (HAI), and SNF Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary – Post-Acute Care (MSPB-PAC). Since these are claims-based measures, there are no additional data submission requirements.
