CMS Releases New Trainings for Post-Acute Care Providers

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released new web-based training for post-acute care (PAC) providers on Jan. 13th. There are two new programs: Section M: Assessment and Coding of Pressure Ulcers/Injuries and From Data Elements to Quality Measures: Cross-Setting QRP Web-Based Training. The focus of the Section M training is to enhance coding accuracy on the Minimum Data Set (MDS), while the focus of the cross-setting Quality Reporting Program (QRP) training is to provide a high-level view of how data elements are used to construct the quality measures.
