CMS Issues FAQ Document on LTC Survey Regulations and Survey Process

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has provided guidance and clarification in a number of key areas related to the new Long Term Care (LTC) regulations and the survey process. Among the areas addressed in the 25-page document are Resident Rights, Administration (including the facility assessment), and Comprehensive Care Plans. The FAQs provide essential information to assist in understanding the interpretation of the requirements and the implementation of the process.
