RHCF Medicaid Cost Report Software Available

The Department of Health (DOH) has posted the 2017 RHCF Medicaid Cost Report software on the Health Commerce System (HCS). The completed report and related certifications are due Mon., July 16, 2018. Other than a new field for entering an email address, DOH reports no changes to the report.

The DOH notice is copied below and lists David Szelest at RHCF-HCS@health.ny.gov as the DOH contact for questions regarding report submission as well as appropriate level of access to the HCS to file the report and certifications. Members may want to refer to the slides from the capital webinar DOH presented last year and a set of capital FAQs available on the Nursing Home Cost Report section of the HCS as they prepare their reports. Those responsible for filing and/or certifying the report should ensure that they have the appropriate HCS permissions in place well in advance of the report due date.

Dear Administrator:

This letter is to provide you with information regarding the 2017 RHCF Cost Report submissions. The 2017 software is now available through the internet-based Health Commerce System (HCS). The 2017 cost report and applicable electronic certifications are due to the Department by Wednesday, July 16, 2018.

The cost report software includes a new field to provide an email address that will be used for future communications from the Department. No other changes have been made to the software.
