April 2023 Update to HCPCS Codes for SNF Consolidated Billing Available

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has updated the list of Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes subject to the consolidated billing (CB) provision of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS). A Medicare Learning Network (MLN) article explains the changes, noting a number of codes for blood clotting factors that were added to the Part B CB files for 2022 and 2023. Various chemotherapy and blood clotting factors were also added to Part A CB files, along with codes for COVID-19 vaccines and vaccine administration.
