NYC Transportation Broker Change

Medical Answering Services, LLC (MAS) is poised to replace Logisticare as the Medicaid transportation manager for all five New York City boroughs. The change is effective April 23, 2017. MAS currently provides Medicaid transportation management services in upstate counties, including Westchester.

In New York City, MAS will be responsible for administering, providing, and coordinating non-emergency medical transportation for Medicaid fee-for-service and mainstream managed care enrollees. Managed Long Term Care plans remain responsible for their enrollees' non-emergency medical transportation. Standing transportation orders as well as any single trips set up through Logisticare for dates of service on or after April 23rd should transfer automatically to MAS. Field liaisons for MAS have been reaching out to providers and are available to provide information and set up on-site training.

The Department of Health (DOH) letter announcing the change is available here. MAS key contact information including names, email addresses, and phone numbers is available for Brooklyn and Staten Island here. The contact list for Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens is here.
