MAS to Take Over Modivcare Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Trips on Long Island on Dec. 1st

LeadingAge NY recently learned that Medical Answering Service (MAS) will be taking over all Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) trips for Modivcare on Long Island on Dec. 1, 2023. The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed this transition.

Two stakeholder meetings for medical providers and transportation vendors have been scheduled for this week. Both meetings are hybrid (in-person and virtual) and are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 15th (Hauppauge) and Thurs., Nov. 16th (Uniondale). The invitation is available here.

As LeadingAge NY learns more about this transition from Modivcare to MAS, we will share it. We will be attending the Nov. 16th meeting virtually and urge members to submit questions to us to pose at the meeting.
