LeadingAge NY Members Reminded to Provide Comments on Proposed Staffing and Other Regulations

Several important state nursing home regulations have been published for public comment in recent weeks, including those governing minimum nursing hours, minimum direct care spending requirements, and character and competence reviews of nursing home establishments and transfers of ownership. LeadingAge NY has previously reported on these proposed regulations and solicited member feedback. Our previous reporting on these regulations can be found at the following links:

LeadingAge NY has also submitted comments on the draft minimum nursing hours and minimum direct care spending regulations to the State's Public Health and Health Planning Council (PHHPC). Our letter to the PHHPC on these regulations can be found here.

The association will be submitting comments to the Department of Health (DOH) on behalf of the membership and would welcome member input. If your organization would like LeadingAge NY to consider including certain issues or concerns in its comments, please submit that input to us here by Jan. 4, 2022. Members are also encouraged to submit their own comments to DOH here. Comments on these three regulations are due to the Department by Jan. 18, 2022.
