DOH Updates MLTC Rates

Partially Capitated Managed Long Term Care (MLTCP) and Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) plans have received revised April 2023 rate sheets that aim to update plan rates for upcoming minimum wage changes. Despite joint provider and plan meetings with the Department of Health (DOH) in which representatives outlined the costs that need to be considered in funding the State-mandated increases and stressed that pairing the wage increase with a drop in wage parity payments to home care workers was not feasible, the rate update does not seem to reflect these requests. DOH had indicated a willingness to host a webinar to continue a discussion of the issue to help ensure that the confusion surrounding home care wage increases last year is not repeated, although nothing has been scheduled as of now.
