New HUD Resources Available from LeadingAge National
On Oct. 23rd, LeadingAge National hosted a virtual session on the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) for properties assisted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The call featured LeadingAge members who have received awards, HUD staff who are leading program implementation, and LeadingAge business partners who can assist with GRRP applications. Additionally, on Oct. 24th, LeadingAge National hosted a members-only policy update call on the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA). During the recorded call, LeadingAge housing experts discussed new guidance from HUD on HOTMA implementation, key deadlines to be aware of, and next steps for housing providers. The call also reviewed HUD’s new asset limit rule and key questions from housing providers. The slides and recording are available for members here.
Keep up with all the news from LeadingAge National by joining its members-only workgroups for deeper discussions on specific topics related to affordable senior housing. These small group meetings are typically informal, collaborative, and help LeadingAge staff develop constructive feedback for federal policymakers. In addition to the weekly Housing Network meetings, the most active workgroups currently include:

- Housing and Services (monthly)
- Internet Access in Affordable Housing (quarterly)
- Insurance Rates in Affordable Housing (quarterly)
- Section 202 Awardees (ad hoc)
