LeadingAge Overview of Section 202 NOFO: March 25th at 12:30 p.m.
Join a special edition of LeadingAge’s weekly Housing Network Call on March 25th at 12:30 p.m. featuring Mark Oswanski of Hampden Park Capital and Consulting and Tonya Haddock of Cadence Development, who will discuss the current Section 202 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The NOFO awards Section 202 capital advances paired with operating subsidy to bring new affordable senior housing units online through new construction or major rehabilitation.
Many LeadingAge members have been the recipients of Section 202 funds in previous award rounds, and LeadingAge strongly supports the program. The Section 202 capital advances were revived in 2018 to provide a stable flow of affordable senior housing development funding, but capital advances were omitted from both the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 HUD budget and the proposed FY 2025 HUD budget.
