June is "National Healthy Homes Month"

On June 5, 2017, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that June has been designated as “National Healthy Homes Month.” The goal of “Healthy Homes Month” is to “raise awareness for what makes a home healthy, and to strengthen coordination and collaboration between housing and health at the federal, state and local levels.” This describes an integral part of the “Housing Plus Services” model that LeadingAge so strongly advocates for.
