HUD to Hold NYC Meeting on the Homeless Veteran Preference

On Tues., July 30th, assisted housing owners and management agents are invited to join a conversation about adopting a homeless veteran preference with representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office of Multifamily Housing, the New York City (NYC) Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS), the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), and affordable housing industry leaders. Property owners who have implemented a homeless preference will speak about best practices and their experiences.

Featured speakers include Dean Santa and Brett Wise from the HUD Office of Multifamily Housing, Loree Sutton from NYC DVS, and Robert Pulster of USICH's National Initiatives Team.

The meeting will be held at the HUD Multifamily Offices, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the meeting running from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
