HUD Seeking Volunteers for NSPIRE Demonstration

On Dec. 6th, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) advised that it is continuing to seek volunteers to participate in the National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) Demonstration. The Demonstration period for NSPIRE is currently underway and is meant to test the adjustments made to HUD's physical inspection standards and protocols prior to nationwide implementation of NSPIRE.

As stated by HUD, benefits of participation in the NSPIRE Demonstration include:

  • Opportunities to shape the NSPIRE physical inspection model;
  • Advisory inspection scores based on NSPIRE standards and protocols; and
  • Training opportunities, including how to use the inspection software.

More information regarding NSPIRE and the Demonstration may be found here, and you may register to participate in the Demonstration here.
