HUD Launches Free Mental Health First Aid Training for Service Coordinators

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has partnered with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing to offer free Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training for HUD-assisted multifamily housing (MFH) Service Coordinators.

HUD MFH Service Coordinators can register to attend one free MHFA training, which will occur throughout 2024 and into 2025. Registration is offered on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis for the next 90 days’ worth of scheduled sessions. Seats are limited, and the training is being offered to HUD offices beyond MFH Service Coordinators, so it is important to sign up as soon as possible to secure a spot for a training session.

Most trainings are virtual, but some will be offered in person; likewise, most trainings are in English, but some will be offered in Spanish.

Find additional background about the MHFA training here, and register here.
