More Free Training Resources Available for Person-Centered Planning

More free training opportunities for person-centered planning and care are now available from the Department of Health (DOH). As members know, providers delivering Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS) are required to engage in delivering person-centered care. This requires new approaches to care planning, community integration, policies, procedures, and practices that ensure that individuals are receiving care that is driven by their needs and preferences and offers integration in the broader non-Medicaid community.

Members should ensure that their staff are engaging in these training options. For training dates and content options, click here.

New sessions address the following topics:

  • Person-centered plan development
  • Person-centered practice for managers
  • Person-centered practice in cultural humility
  • Person-centered thinking skills
  • Person-centered thinking and the HCBS Final Rule
