The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a webinar focused on person-centered service planning in home and community-based services (HCBS) on Wed., April 10th from 2-3:30 p.m. ET.

The presentation, Person-Centered Service Planning in HCBS: Individual Rights and Modifications of the Settings Requirements of Provider-Owned or Controlled Residential Settings, will assist states by:

  • providing an overview of the Medicaid HCBS regulations pertaining to person-centered service plans, modifications, and conflict of interest provisions;
  • reviewing themes identified during CMS heightened site visits regarding individual rights and modification of the settings requirements of residential settings;
  • highlighting strategies to ensure individual rights for all HCBS beneficiaries;
  • discussing how to address modifications of the settings requirements for provider-owned or controlled residential settings; and
  • sharing state approaches to the promotion of individual rights.
