2020 LHCSA and ALP LHCSA Statistical Report Deadline Extended to Jan. 31, 2022

The Department of Health (DOH) recently announced that in response to a request for additional time to complete the Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) Statistical Report, LHCSA registration for 2022 may be accomplished by using the Health Electronic Response Data System (HERDS) LHCSA Registration Short Form. However, registration will not be deemed fully effective until the LHCSA Statistical Report is submitted by the deadline of close of business on Jan. 31, 2022.

The Public Health Law requires LHCSAs to be registered on an annual basis by the deadline established by the Commissioner. LHCSAs that are not registered may not provide services or receive reimbursement for services. LHCSA registration for 2022 can be accomplished through submission of the LHCSA Statistical Report for 2019, which was made available to providers on Nov. 29, 2021.

Members utilizing the LHCSA Statistical Report extension should be sure to complete and submit the Short Form.

Directions for using the LHCSA Registration Short Form:
