On Aug. 15^th, LeadingAge National submitted comments to the HHS Request for Information on updating the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease. The association focused its comments on the lack of funding and policy support for dementia-specific care, workforce training, and widely available caregiver support programs.

The proposed amendment would conform the NATP minimum hours in state regulation with existing DOH guidance and federal regulation, requiring 75 hours of initial training.

The Medicare wage index, which impacts 72% of the Medicare Part A rate, improved in all but 3 regions in the State.
