The NYS Legislature concluded its work on June 5^th, ending the 2026 Legislative Session. NYS has submitted the Medicaid SPAs needed to implement the nursing home Medicaid reimbursement increase and capital cut restoration included in the SFY 2026-27 budget.

An additional 25 nursing homes, including two non-profit homes, should have received penalty letters on June 30^th related to 2023 and 2024 staffing requirements.

The termination date for Haitians with TPS and TPS holders from several other nations is now July 10^th, as a result of the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision.
