DOH Issues DAL Regarding Nursing Services in the ALP

The Department of Health (DOH) has issued a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) clarifying the provision of nursing services in the Assisted Living Program (ALP). The DAL references an earlier DAL, which we provide here for your convenience.

LeadingAge NY has long been advocating for nurses in adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living settings to be empowered to provide nursing services. We have a bill in the Assembly and the Senate that would allow facilities that employ nurses the option to provide nursing services. Click here for more information about the bill and what you can do to advance this issue.
