Founded in 1961, LeadingAge New York, formerly the New York Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (NYAHSA), represents not-for-profit, mission-driven and public continuing care providers, including nursing homes, senior housing, adult care facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and community service providers. Leading Age New York's more than 600 members employ 150,000 professionals serving more than 500,000 New Yorkers annually.

LeadingAge is dedicated to expanding the world of possibilities for aging. Together, we advance policies, promote practices and conduct research that supports, enables and empowers people to live fully as they age.

LeadingAge New York is a highly respected trade association representing the full continuum of nonprofit providers of long term care, services and housing for seniors and others with special needs. Serving as a voice for the members within the State of New York, the association delivers vital information, technical assistance, data analysis and education to members and the larger field. It also brings people together to foster creativity and innovation.

Our organization hosts several Conferences and Educational Training Seminars throughout the year geared towards many of the service providers within our member Facilities.
