The 2024 LeadingAge NY Affordable Housing Summit is right around the corner on May 2nd and 3rd, and providers are still able to take advantage of Early Bird pricing for $100 off their registration until Fri., April 12th.
The Summit will take place at Tyler Technologies in Latham, NY, and the agenda features two days of jam-packed programming for all affordable senior housing staff and leaders, including:
- sessions presented by the American Association of Service Coordinators and by Queen Bailey to empower staff with innovative techniques and best practices for engaging older adults, combating isolation, and creating communities of respect for themselves and their residents;
- a look at the intersection of federal policy and mission-driven practice to support healthy aging in community from Juliana Bilowich, LeadingAge’s Director of Housing Operations and Policy;
- deep dives into updating your Tenant Selection Plans (TSPs) and house rules, tackling National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) inspections, and Fair Housing with a focus on limited English proficiency from the experts at U.S. Housing Consultants and STAR Compliance Consulting; and
- a keynote designed to help you navigate (or avoid) escalating conflicts with your residents using proven mediation and diversion tactics.
In addition to the education program, attendees can look forward to the opportunity to network with other affordable senior housing providers, advocates, and public officials throughout the Summit.
