As a result of a 2020 decision by the national LeadingAge Board of Directors, LeadingAge state affiliates have the opportunity to accept for-profit members within a construct that works for each state. At the recommendation of the LeadingAge NY Retirement Housing Cabinet and Board of Directors, the full membership will be called upon at the Annual Meeting in June to approve an amendment to our guiding bylaws allowing for-profit Retirement Housing providers to join the association. This amendment would only apply to the Retirement Housing service line and no other within the LeadingAge NY membership.

LeadingAge NY Business Partner HealthPRO Heritage announced that it will offer SilverSneakers® classes to residents at senior living and long term care client facilities to eligible individuals. In addition, eligible non-residents may attend classes at the facilities at no charge.
