Session 1 Dining Suggestions.
Schedule:
Session 1 will begin on September 23rd with a light breakfast from 8:00-8:30 AM. We'll begin our program promptly at 8:30. Session 1 will conclude at 5:00 PM on September 24th.
Preparation for Session 1:
In advance of our first experience please read the Harvard Business Review article "Crucibles of Leadership" by Bennis and Thomas; and Standout 2.0 by Marcus Buckingham. Please complete the Standout Assessment - you'll find instruction for this assessment within the book.
Please also complete a Myers-Briggs Online Assessment (Instructions are below). Bring a copy of the results of both assessments with you to session 1.
Step 1: Go to https://www.humanmetrics.com/personality/test. Take the Jung Typology Test and hit "score it". Your personality type will appear on the screen, consisting of four letters.
Step 2. Return to the //www.humanmetrics.com/personality/test page and select your four-letter personality type from The 16 personality types on the right side of the screen. You will see a description of your personality type.
Step 3: Please bring a print-out of your personality "portrait" to Session 1. You'll need this so we can use it in an exercise with other fellows.
These readings and exercises will provide important focus on our work throughout the academy experience. we'll explore the central ideas of the readings and ask you to think about how they relate to your life experiences and the year ahead.
Moving Forward:
The remaining textbooks and articles for Sessions 2 through 4 will be given to you during Session 1 or sent via e-mail. There is no need for you to purchase any textbooks or assessments for the Academy...the cost is included in your tuition.
