Next Round of Bonus Payments on the Way
The Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed the release of Health Care Worker Bonus (HWB) payments related to the third vesting period. Payments for claims submitted in April will be included in Medicaid payment cycle 2393, which is scheduled for release on July 19th. The accompanying remits should list two separate amounts, the first being the bonus payments identified as “HWB” and the second being the Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) tax portion identified as “FTX.” Providers are reminded that they are required to distribute the bonus payments within 30 days of receipt of the funding and need to report any overpayments to the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) using the prescribed process and forms available here.
