Health Care Worker Bonus Payments Released
Health care employers should have received funding for the latest round of worker bonuses last week. Payments for claims submitted in October for the fourth vesting period of the Health Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus Program were included in Medicaid cycle 2421, released on Jan. 31st. Employers are required to distribute the bonus payments within 30 days of receipt. Any identified overpayments must be disclosed to the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) and returned using the established process described on the OMIG website here.
We are in the closing months of the fifth and final vesting period of the program that runs from Oct. 1, 2023 through March 2024. Claims for this period will have to be submitted in April.
