Caring Gene Virtual Job Fairs

In mid-November, the Caring Gene® will be hosting a series of virtual job fairs looking to connect long term care organizations with job seekers across New York State.

There are six events that will run from Nov. 15th through 18th and focus on Northeastern New York, New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, Central New York, and Western New York.

These events will allow long term care providers to set up virtual “booths” that showcase their organization to job seekers. Job seekers can browse the booths to learn more and also have the option to speak with representatives via text or video chat.

The Caring Gene® is using a mix of organic social media and paid advertising to market these events to interested job seekers and has partnered with the Department of Labor (DOL), local workforce organizations, and community colleges and schools to identify job seekers.

Information on how long term care providers can sign up as exhibitors can be found here, and the schedule of events and links for job seekers to sign up are hereThere is NO COST for providers or job seekers to participate in these fairs.

Providers are also encouraged to visit the Caring Gene® website, another vehicle to connect job seekers to those looking to fill positions.

If you have any questions, please email ihawio@iroquois.org. LeadingAge NY is hopeful that members will take advantage of these free virtual job fairs.
