New York State Seeks Provider Feedback to Inform Master Plan for Aging

As part of its work to develop a comprehensive Master Plan for Aging (MPA), New York State is seeking feedback from local providers and government officials. LeadingAge NY provider members and their staff are encouraged to complete this brief survey as soon as possible, but no later than March 30, 2023. Responses will help inform recommended strategies, policies, and new or improved programs to be included in the MPA and will help frame the discussion for upcoming public input sessions.

LeadingAge NY has been told that this survey is intended for providers, staff, and the partners who support the work they do; a separate survey designed for consumers and the community at large will be issued at a later date.

For more information on the MPA, click here. Questions on the provider survey or the MPA process may be emailed to MPA@health.ny.gov.

Additionally, the New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) and the Association on Aging in New York are launching the first-ever statewide needs assessment survey of older adults. This separate survey is directed at anyone aged 60 or over and will help guide NYSOFA in developing its four-year plan for service delivery and policy development while also providing helpful information to support the goals of the MPA.

Members are encouraged to share the NYSOFA community assessment survey with anyone aged 60 or over to be completed by March 30, 2023. Sample social media messaging to assist with outreach is available from NYSOFA here. Any questions about the community assessment survey may be directed to NYSOFA@aging.ny.gov.
