DOH to Post Weekly Flu Reports During 2023-2024 Season

The NYS Department of Health (DOH) conducts seasonal flu surveillance from October through May. Data are updated weekly on Friday by 5 p.m. during the surveillance season. The data represent counts of individuals with laboratory-confirmed influenza (cases) and counts of individuals with laboratory-confirmed influenza who are hospitalized (hospitalizations) and are reported to DOH. Weekly and season-to-date data are displayed for the current and prior flu seasons.

Members should be aware that all of DOH's regular flu reports have been posted for the first time in the 2023-2024 flu season. The reports can be accessed via the links below weekly through the end of May:

The DOH Commissioner has not yet declared influenza prevalent in NYS. These tools can assist members in identifying cases and upticks in their counties.
