Save the Date for Black Health and Wellness Roundtable with CMS Administrator
Save the date! Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure will host a special livestreamed virtual roundtable discussion in recognition of Black History Month on Thurs., Feb. 24th from 3 to 4 p.m.
During the roundtable, panelists will explore themes of the work CMS can do to further address racial disparities and advance health equity; discuss how Black leaders are making history in the health care system and the unique role of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in rebuilding the health care system, particularly in a post-COVID world; and discuss how CMS can encourage more providers to enter the medical field and in particular to practice in underserved communities.
