DataPoint: NH Occupancy

Based on LeadingAge NY's analysis of the most recent nursing home weekly bed availability reporting data, median statewide occupancy is 95 percent, up from 94 percent in June 2018. Five regions have seen median occupancy increases since June 2018, while the Central New York region has remained the same and only the Hudson Valley region has declined. The New York City region’s occupancy of 96.2 percent is the highest statewide, followed by the Northeast New York region, which ranks second with 95.8 percent. The Buffalo region, in contrast, has the lowest occupancy at 92.5 percent. The occupancy rate for each New York State home is available here.
