DataPoint: ADHC Costs

The 2017 median annual Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) cost in New York State is $20,800, according to the recently released Genworth 2017 Cost of Care Study. New York’s median ADHC cost ranks 14th nationally. The Genworth Study is an analysis tool based on a cost of care survey covering more than 47,000 long term care providers nationwide and reports on private pay care costs. The survey covers nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult day health facilities, and home care providers. In 2016, ADHC was the only long term care setting to see a cost decrease nationwide. In 2017, ADHC saw a 2.94 percent increase. The annual median growth for all long term care settings was 4.5 percent.
