What if I Didn’t Get My Second COVID-19 Vaccine Within the Recommended Interval?

LeadingAge NY has received questions regarding people who have received one shot of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, but for some reason have been delayed in getting their second shot beyond the three- or four-week interval. Current clinical guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that you should get your second shot as close to the recommended three- or four-week interval as possible. However, your second dose may be given up to six weeks (42 days) after the first dose, if necessary. Click here for more information.
