Register Now: LeadingAge NY to Present Free Webinar on Successful Long Term Care Staff Vaccination Uptake

LeadingAge NY/Foundation for Long Term Care (FLTC) will present a FREE, LIVE webinar entitled Successful Strategies to Promote Vaccination Among Long Term Care Staff on Tues., June 29th from 1 to 3 p.m. Join us to learn about strategies your facility can put into practice to improve COVID-19 vaccination rates of your long term care staff members. The webinar will be modeled on LeadingAge NY's Monday COVID-19 update webinars, with a live panel and Q&A to follow. Speakers will include:

  • Dr. Berkeley Franz and Dr. Lindsay Dhanani, co-authors of the COVID-19 Vaccination Uptake Behavioral Science Task Force Report commissioned by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to address vaccination rates among long term care facility staff, who will present concrete strategies to improve uptake based on the behavioral science literature. 
  • Robert Wallace, president and CEO of Canterbury Woods, Williamsville, NY, who will provide an overview of his facility’s vaccine uptake strategies for staff.
  • Marie Rosenthal, senior administrator, ArchCare at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center, New York, NY, who will discuss ArchCare's vaccination program, including its recent efforts to provide incentives to staff.
  • Andrew Banoff, president and CEO of The Jewish Home/Jewish Senior Services, Bridgeport, CT, who will present on his facility’s decision and approach to implementation of a mandatory staff vaccination policy.

Funded by a generous grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, this webinar is an opportunity to earn two hours of National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and Adult Care Facility (ACF) credit
