Members Reminded of Upcoming LeadingAge National and CDC COCA Calls on COVID-19

LeadingAge NY members are reminded of two upcoming COVID-19-related calls to be presented by LeadingAge National and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Clinician Outreach and Communication Activity (COCA):

  • LeadingAge National Call: On Wed., May 4th at 3:30 p.m. ET, LeadingAge National will welcome Brendan Jackson from the CDC’s COVID-19 response team to its biweekly COVID-19 update call. He will discuss the CDC’s guidance regarding current COVID-19 treatments and also take LeadingAge member questions on the agency's latest guidance for COVID-19. To register for the call, click here.
  • COCA Call: Evaluating and Supporting Patients Presenting with Cognitive Symptoms Following COVID: On Thurs., May 5th from 2 to 3 p.m. ET, COCA will hold a call to discuss post-COVID-19 conditions (PCC), an umbrella term for the wide range of health consequences that are present four or more weeks after infection with SARS-CoV-2, which includes long COVID. For more information on this call, click here.

In addition, members are encouraged to review the latest updates to the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines webpage. The COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines is published in an electronic format that can be updated in step with the rapid pace and growing volume of information regarding the treatment of COVID-19.
