LeadingAge NY Updates COVID-19 Q&As on Regulatory and Operational Issues

LeadingAge NY has updated questions and answers (Q&As) for providers of long-term/post-acute care (LTPAC) and senior services on operational and regulatory issues related to COVID-19. The updated Q&As include information on a variety of issues, including personal protective equipment (PPE) conservation guidance, employee screening and restrictions, testing, visitation, regulatory waivers, and child care access, as well as issues specific to nursing homes, adult care facilities (ACFs)/assisted living, adult day health care (ADHC), home and community-based services (HCBS), and affordable housing/independent living. The Q&As will be updated as frequently as possible and are available here.

The Q&As are based on the most current guidance released by state and federal regulators and public health authorities at the time of publication. In some cases, where guidance is unclear or lacking, our answers are based on our best analysis and judgment, given the available information. As the outbreak is evolving rapidly, state and federal guidance is likewise evolving in response to changing circumstances. To the extent that you identify a conflict between our Q&As and any official guidance, please let us know, and follow the official guidance.

We will be adding to and updating these Q&As as frequently as possible. We are also convening weekly webinars with members on Mondays to address emerging questions. Please send your questions to Ami Schnauber here, and check your email for the dial-in information, or contact Jeff Diamond here.
